In the operation of the fertilizer production line, if the fertilizer granulator has a blocking problem, it will not only affect the production efficiency, but also may damage the equipment and increase the maintenance cost. Especially in the NPK fertilizer production line, material blockage will lead to uneven granulation, equipment operation is blocked, and even affect the normal operation of the entire production line. So, what is the cause of the blockage? How to fix it?
1. Improper material moisture
If the moisture of the raw material is too high, it is easy to adhere to the inside of the granulator, causing the material to caking and blocking the discharge port; However, too low moisture will make it difficult to granulate the material and increase the possibility of particle breakage. The solution is to strictly control the moisture content of the raw material, generally keeping it between 30%-40%, and at the same time conduct appropriate pretreatment before granulation, such as drying or humidification, to ensure the granulation effect.
2. Feed speed is too fast
Feed too fast, too much, beyond the capacity of the fertilizer granulator, will lead to material accumulation, and eventually cause blocking. Therefore, a reasonable feeding speed should be controlled during production, and a uniform feeding method should be adopted to avoid the overload operation of equipment caused by sudden large feeding.
3. Granulator parameters are improperly adjusted
If the speed of the granulator, mold aperture, pressure and other parameters are set unreasonable, it may also lead to plugging. For example, if the speed is too low, the material will stay in the chamber for too long, and the pressure is too large, resulting in the material extrusion is not smooth. Therefore, the appropriate parameters should be adjusted according to the characteristics of the raw material before operation, and appropriate optimization should be carried out during the production process.
4. The device is not cleaned in time
After a long time of operation, the pelletizer may accumulate residual materials inside, and if it is not cleaned regularly, it is easy to form accumulation and affect subsequent production. Therefore, it should be stopped regularly to check and clean up the residue inside the granulator, while ensuring the normal operation of the lubrication system and reducing material adhesion.
